Dried figs should soak in boiling water for 30 minutes. Then you should cut them into small pieces. In a bowl, mix the eggs, olive oil and yogurt. Once mixed, add the solid ingredients. Finally, once the mixture is homogenized, add the fig pieces. Put in a pan and bake in a preheated oven at 170 C for about an hour.

Ingredients:

  • 200 gr. dried figs
  • 225 gr. all-purpose flour
  • 200 gr. brown sugar
  • 100 ml olive oil
  • 100 ml Greek strained yogurt
  • 3 eggs
  • Baking Powder (1 package or 2 tsp)
  • Cinnamon (2 tsp)
  • Vanillin (1 pack)

Soak the figs in brandy or boiling water. Grind them in the blender and add the remaining ingredients. In the end, shape the mixture into a spherical shape, in the size you want. Ideally, each energy ball should be bite-sized. Put it in the fridge and enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 5 dried figs
  • ½ cup chopped nuts (almonds, walnuts, sesame seeds)
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 2 tsp peanut butter
  • 1/2 tsp coconut oil

This is a very easy recipe, ideal for a healthy snack. Cut the figs into 2 pieces. Place a slice of prosciutto, add 2 tbsp. soft cheese, and finally place the fig. If you want, you can also add balsamic vinegar, honey or any spice of your preference. Keep refrigerated and eaten with nuts, toast or rice wafers, for light treats.

Ingredients:

  • 6 figs (fresh or dried)
  • 12 slices of prosciutto
  • 100 gr. soft cheese (DOMOKOU or Philadelphia cottage cheese)
  • Honey (optional for sprinkling on top)

Tart with figs and soft cheese

First we prepare our dough. Add the flour, butter and salt and whisk gently. Then add the egg yolk. Once the dough is ready, leave it in the fridge, covered with cling film for around 60 minutes. Mix the filling ingredients. Preheat the oven to 200 C and bake the dough for about 15 minutes, after having placed it in a buttered tart pan and having pierced the dough several times with a fork. Then add the filling and bake for another 15 minutes. Let it cool and enjoy!

  • 200 gr. all-purpose flour
  • 110 gr. butter
  • 1/4 tbsp. salt
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 3 tbsp. cold water (optional)

Ingredients for the filling:

  • 500 gr. goat cheese
  • 500 gr. cream cheese
  • 80 gr. fig jam
  • 2 fresh figs, cut into round slices
  • 1 cup walnuts or almonds
  • Pepper
